Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Her talent was first noticed as a teen. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. In the same year, she was featured in Fat Joe's What's Luv? She also appeared on Fat Joe's song What's Luv?! and Ja Rules track Always On Time, both of which have been hugely successful.
