Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for starting the modern science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victimes as witness in lawful circumstances. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards international and national levels. She consults with numerous governments and agencies across the world on policies and research on children's victimization within the court system. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
