Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She is most famous for her role as Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Her other appearances include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to television and film. Anna's first major character was Arden on Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was her role in Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood was also an integral an integral part of her professional career. Gunn has also appeared on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn participated in an audio-play series called "Numbered days". Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and their eventual break up echoes last years of Walter White's personal life.
