Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, in Stavanger) is a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the media and bloggers. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway with her voice, has given her the track a little more attention. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered an old grand piano hidden in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her what it could do. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as a profession or a pastime, but to grow. Her parents inspired her to write. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. In response to her mother's suggestions that she shouldn't be trying at achieving fame through the songs she writes, but rather be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. She was suggested by her mother to perform her songs publicly in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they impact the world. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora was not a goal. The singer says that she simply likes creating songs. For her, music is the best way to feel anything.
